Reset your password by email, and what to try when the reset link doesn't work.

The link is valid for one hour and works once.

Reset your password

  1. 1On the login page, tap Forgot password?
  2. 2Type the email address you signed up with and tap Send reset link.
  3. 3You will always see the same confirmation message, whether or not that email has an account — this stops strangers testing which addresses are registered.
  4. 4Open the email and tap the link. It takes you to a page where you choose a new password.
  5. 5Enter a new password of at least 8 characters and save.
  6. 6You are signed out everywhere else and can log in again with the new password.

If the email never arrives

  1. 1Check your spam, junk and promotions folders.
  2. 2Make sure you typed the same address you signed up with — an account created with Google uses that Google address.
  3. 3If you signed up with Google or Facebook, you may not have a password at all. Use the Continue with Google or Continue with Facebook button instead.
  4. 4Still nothing? Email support@ceylonchat.com from the address on the account and tell us your username.
