What happens next
Reports go to our moderation team, who can remove a post, suspend an account, or decide that nothing broke the rules. We keep a copy of what was reported even if the author deletes it afterwards. You will not receive a status update on your report — for your own safety, we do not tell the other person who reported them either.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Reporting on Ceylon Chat is not a substitute for the police.
Blocking is faster than reporting
Reporting tells us. Blocking protects you immediately. If someone is bothering you, do both: block them so they cannot contact you, and report them so we can act.
